Inpatient Programs - Therapeutic Infusion Program

HealthBridge Children’s Hospital infusion services are offered in a comfortable, home-like setting by trained nurses knowledgeable in infusion policies, infection control and pertinent regulations in order to optimize clinical effectiveness.

Infusion services include:

• Hydration therapy

• Antibiotic therapy

• Total parenteral nutrition

• Intravenous pain management

• Transfusions

• Immunotherapy

Types of IV Lines that may be managed:

• Peripheral line

• Mid-line

• PICC line

• Central line

• Port-a-cath

HealthBridge-Houston’s Therapeutic Infusion Program was started to provide a stable environment and thus,  achieve better outcomes for the patients that it serves. The program is designed to monitor properly administered dosages of IV medications in a safe and controlled setting. Our outcomes are significantly  enhanced due to consistency and continuity of care.
