Opened in 1999, HealthBridge Children’s Hospital—Houston is a 24-bed pediatric specialty hospital providing comprehensive, interdisciplinary care for medically complex pediatric patients in a home-like, non-institutional environment.

Located in Houston’s upscale Westchase area, HealthBridge—Houston has an outstanding medical staff that includes physicians board-certified in pediatric critical care, pulmonary care, infectious disease, internal medicine, allergy and immunology, physical medicine and rehabilitation and neuropsychiatry.   The clinical team includes nurses, dietitians, Child Life specialists, child educators, social workers, case managers, and respiratory therapists.

The facility has a number of specialized inpatient and outpatient programs including:

• Pulmonary Medicine Program which treats infants and children who have sustained a neurological injury or who have immature respiratory system development resulting in breathing difficulties. 

• Therapeutic Infusion Program which provides infusion services such as hydration therapy, antibiotic management, total parenteral nutrition, intravenous pain management, transfusions and immunotherapy.

• Gastroenterology Program which is designed to give both the child and family techniques to support new feeding skills and independence.

• Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program focused on the treatment of children who have lost functional abilities due to injury or illness, such as walking, talking, eating, breathing, thinking and problem-solving skills.
